Senior Paraplanner

Job Title: Senior Paraplanner
Responsible to: Head of Paraplanning
Responsible for: Providing services to the IFA team, supporting the continuing growth of the business.  
Based: Stokenchurch, Bucks, HP14 3FE

We are looking for a Senior Paraplanner to join the Paraplanning Team at our Head Office.

The position will be suitable to someone who has a minimum of 5 years background in Paraplanning, preferably Chartered but at least Diploma Level 4 Qualified and higher education qualifications
of A Level or above.

Candidates will ideally have:
To be successful in this Paraplanning role, you will also need to be a good communicator and have a working knowledge of the financial services industry across the full range of investments, pensions, retirement solutions, trusts and both personal and business protection.

Your key responsibilities will be provision of high quality technical support and a good standard of literacy and numeracy. Day to day duties will include fund and product research, writing bespoke and compliant suitability reports, preparing client portfolio review analysis, reviewing letters, overseeing the implementation of investments, cash flow modelling, attendance at client meetings and liaising with team Administrators to ensure general client administration is kept up to date.

You will be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office including Excel and Word with a good knowledge of analytical tools and numerical aptitude.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
It is essential that candidates demonstrate a strong background within a similar environment as a Senior Paraplanner as well as having an outgoing and aspirational personality.

There may be a requirement to accompany IFAs to client meetings.

  • Receiving instructions during debriefings from advisers following client meetings.
  • Interpreting data obtained by advisers during client meetings.
  • Analysing data and using research tools to provide solutions to meet client needs

and objectives.

  • Providing records to support research undertaken.
  • Consolidation of client needs and objectives, recommendations and course of action in a written format via a suitability letter, client specific illustration and key features document.
  • Carrying out all tasks in a manner consistent with compliance procedures.
  • Preparation of existing client files ready for reviews.
  • Ensuring all client files are compliant on an ongoing basis
  • All business related administrative duties

Chiltern Consultancy currently require an IFA to join its team following continued growth within the business. We are a progressive firm of Independent Financial Advisers which has established successful business relationships with firms of Accountants and Solicitors, the source of the majority of the business introduced to the company.

Offering clients strategic financial planning on Investment, Pension, Protection, Insurance and IHT, you will be located within a modern office in a great location conveniently close to J5 of the M40 in Stokenchurch, Bucks.

Needing to be QCF Level 4, the successful candidate will provide bespoke independent financial planning and investment management advice to high net worth clients.

You will be required to conduct comprehensive client meetings including a qualitative assessment of the client’s attitude to risk with a view to providing tailored solutions on a truly independent basis.
The role will suit professional and ambitious individuals who are looking to develop their career and you will receive encouragement and support to progress to Level 6 Advance Diploma.

Ideally you will have 4+ years’ experience in the market providing advice and will have your own client bank and FUM.

Paraplanning Support Administrator

Job Title: Paraplanning Support Administrator
Responsible to: Head of Paraplanning 
Responsible for: Providing administration support to the Paraplanning team, supporting the continuing growth of the business.
Based: Stokenchurch, Bucks, HP14 3FE

The role will involve a number of tasks which are, but not limited to, the following: Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities Provide general administrative and clerical support to Paraplanning team as required including, • Preparation of correspondence and documents as instructed • Manage LOA procedures including chasing, logging and communication of status to the team • Contact Service Providers for information and valuations • Management logging and preparation of scheduled Client reviews (Monthly returns) • Preparation of Client Packs, including Printing and Binding of reports • Raising of invoices as required/requested by Paraplanning team • Completion of business submission forms • Update and manage Assets under Management forms following reviews • Drawdown, transfer form tracking/ chasing providers • Scanning of Client files • Provide Reception cover where required, provide 3rd tier telephone screening ie (1 Reception, 2 Office Admin, 3 Paraplanning Admin, 4 All others) • Add new client information to Intelligent Office (IO)

Key Objectives
• To deliver high-quality administrative support and services to the Paraplanner team and Head of Paraplanning.
• To manage and develop the procedures to deliver an effective and efficient service.
• To ensure the quality of services delivered through this support meets the requirement of the business
• Take a proactive role in developing new policies and procedures
• Maintain continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating needed actions to management; determining continuing needs.
• Work closely with the Head of Paraplanning and Managing Director to meet personal goals.
• Ensure that all tasks are adequately resourced, managed and administered. This will involve working closely with the Paraplanning team to ensure the smooth flow of information from all stages of the process.
